I think one of the biggest reasons for playing for me is the social aspect. I have a lot of friends in the game that I chat with every time I'm online. Without them I don't know if I'd play.

It helps when you're living in a small town with few things to do and no local friends for sure. Sure, you can chat to friends via Skype and various other chat programs - but nothing quite beats actually playing a game with them. It's just a lot more fun :)

If you're willing and able, you can always come join the Effers! They have a good raid team, and try to include all raiders. Plus, you never know what's gonna come across the gchat.

Boredom apparently. I find myself again in a largely non-functional guild. I am not doing any raiding, or heroics. I barely manage Molten Front dailies on my main. I seem to have more interest in leveling an army of alts. I am lvl 85 and have not set foot within Vas'jhir so I am not even sure how to spiel it. My achievement oriented main is not working on any achievements.

Someone tell me why I am still playing WoW.

...Oh, wait...BREWFEST IS COMING UP....
