Yeah, you and Cynwise tend to throw up gold. Did you notice his “experimental blog?” He would write something, no editing, and just hit “publish.” Holy crap it was good! I think he’s consolidated those posts into his regular blog.

Just to say, your material seems really good, regardless of how much time you may (or may not) spend on it.

I spent about an hour on the “level 10″ post last night. Though, I spent a few minutes the night before getting some screen shots.

lol, if I can do it, it’s by pure accident.

I just tend to brain fart on the “Add New Post” screen, throw in some screenshots & press publish.

I think I’d need help if there was method to my madness.

I know people who write for themselves. I’m not really one of those people. I hope that people read my stuff, find it enjoyable, if not helpful.

There is one place that I write uninhibited. That would be my personal journal.

I’m also a victem of my training. Part of my masters had to do with communications, attention span, etc. most people don’t make it past 300-600 words in a single post. The usually just skim stuff, and then hit the next blog on their reader.

Of course there are exceptions. For exceptional writers (like you, BBB, and Cyn) you can go as long as you want. People know you are worth reading, regardless of the word count. I only hope to reach that level.

I always keep my posts to the words that flow out. Sometimes that’s more, sometimes (yeah rarely) it’s less.

I figure that we aren’t writing novels that have a definite word count limit, whether it takes 300 or 3,000 words to express what we want to express… well at least it’s expressed.

There was no way to do this. I probably could have pared it down. I’ll try to do better in the future.

Wow… that’s fantastic… not sure I can claim the credit for your comeback, but U still feel great knowing I had a part in it.

It’s one of the good things about easy memes… sometimes when there are too many drafts blocking the publish button a nice easy change of pace can clear the cobwebs.

Thanks for commenting. I hadn’t posted in a while (around 2 months actually), and really wasn’t planning to. Then, your sixth meme came around; everyone I was reading did it, and I guess I got caught up in the…in the… whatever you want to call it!

I’m the same… I have 50+ drafts… of which probably about 3 are usable now. Writers block for me isn’t a lack of a topic, it’s too many topics to knock over and post.

So many posts end up languishing waiting for a screenshot or a link… something I don’t get around to.

Likewise so many nights spent logged in, but alt-tabbed out writing.

Then there is the juggling of the RL stuff… stopping to save a post title… RL stuff… saving a post title.. RL stuff… arrgghh.
