Of course, you are completely right!

I would like to try out SWTOR (long time SciFi fan here), but my computer won’t run it. Due to financial restrictions, we won’t be getting a new computer any time soon.

I’ve been interested in EQ(1&2) in the past, but didn’t have the time (or money back in the day) to try. I’m somewhat interested in LOTR (Yay Hobbits!). I just might try.

But, as I was writing, my mind was a whirling; and I think there is more going on than motivation to play a game. I’m feeling some dissatisfaction in my life; coming upon a possible transition this year, and not sure that I like where things are going.

I think that sometimes when life outside of game is hard and somewhat or even very stressful, it can be hard to just sit down and enjoy something like a game, so a game world can feel sorta meh.( it was like that for me when a family member had issues with mental illness last year, I know I was just to concerned about them nothing I did worked as escapism) It might be just a lull in interest, sometimes it’s time for something new. It sounds like you are moving around a lot from character to character so lonlieness may be a factor.It might be a good time to spend time out of the game with pople you know. I hope things get better for you.

Why not try a different game? Many of them out there, many even free. Or sign up for a trial. Everquest and Everquest 2 are free. Fallen Earth, if you like Fallout, this is your game (free). Aion goes free today or tomorrow. Personally, LotRO and DDO aren’t on my favorites list, but it’s an option. Rift is free for the first 20 levels. Nobody says: “Must Play WOW”
