Angel of Death

I had a nice life. I can’t complain.

Growing up in Silvermoon was plush, to say the least.   My parents owned a small shop, and did quite well to be honest.  But, I wanted more.

It turned out that I had a talent to bond with animals.  I was destined to be a great hunter, or so I thought!

I even heard of this place, full of bull headed men and women. It was the land of the Tauren.  They were renowned for their knowledge of the land.  They were the greatest of hunters, with the closest ties to their animal companions.

I had to go there.

I had to learn their ways!

So, I set off for the Land of Hunters. I traveled many days, finally making it to the capital of their land, known as Thunder Bluff.

I flew in on windrider, with my heart in my throat.

I thought I had cheated death by making it through the harrowing ride from Orgrimmar.

I was wrong…

I pick myself up off the floor, only to look into the eyes of death itself.

The next thing I knew…

I awoke in another world…

I saw this giant angelic figure.

I asked her what had happened to me.

She shivered… then spoke in an otherworldly voice.

“You have met the Angel of Death known as Navizor!”

Navizor! (aka: scary Navimie)

/RAWR!!!!

As was mentioned by Navimie, I had the honor of meeting her the other night.

Yes, she is just as awesome as she seems to be!

Some people know this, and some don’t.  I’m the father of two beautiful little boys, and the husband to one patient wife!

We lived our first year in relative isolation (other than work, of course).  We never wanted to be “those people” with the little kid(s) causing all that trouble in a restaurant.

That stopped in year two. We became the couple that doesn’t give a rip anymore.

Instead, we find ourselves surrounded by teachable moments.

We also find out we have kids that want to imitate us!

What we found is that we come away from these little outings with wonderful stories!

We also learned how much of our life can be Poop Dependent.

Oh, and those “Baby Bags,” should just be called the “Oh $%@#!” bags. /srsnod

So, we are out at a local eatery when my 4 year old son informs me that he “has to go.”

Of course, that could mean he “already went,” has “sharted,” needs to be in the bathroom “righ now,” or is feeling some gas coming on.

You never know with a 4 yr old.

Anywhooo, we get in there and he needs to take a poop.

Public restroom. You bet I’m cleaning that puppy off!

Surprisingly, it wasn’t as bad as it could have been.

Has anyone else noticed how inconvenient it is to have that little section out of the front of the seat that is missing?

OHMYGOSH!

Yeah, guys bathrooms tend to not be kid friendly.

Here are some things I heard (and possibly even said) while at the restaurant.

Quotables, mabye?

Dad, instructing child on Urinal Usage: “Stand as close as you can, but don’t touch the porcelain.”

On Urinal Etiquette:  Kid says, “Hey, HEY!”  Dad says, “No son, don’t talk to him. He’s peeing, and peeing is a guys private time.”  Kid says, “But he’s SO TALL!”

Positive Potty Reinforcement: “Son, we don’t have to celebrate every plop.”

In the Dining Area: “Put your shirt down! No one wants to see your belly right now.”

Are you starstruck by anyone? Does someone in the community respond to a post or a tweet and get you all speechless because they actually responded? Is there anyone you are waiting to have respond directly to you? Is there someone that you would like to chat to, but are too chicken? Am I the only one who puts other bloggers on a pedestal? ~ by Dragonray

The biggest WoW name in my view would be “Big Red Kitty/ Brain Needed Space.”  But alas, he doesn’t do much WoW blogging any more.  Still, if he every left a comment I would definitely do a double check!  He was my favorite of all WoW bloggers.

Now, among those who are currently blogging… I have a few folks that I would love hearing from.

Not that they’ve not ever spoken with me. I’ve been blessed to communicate with these folks.  But, I’m always a little starstruck when I get a comment or tweet from them. Here they are, in no particular order.

John (aka: BBB) from Big Bear Butt Blogger

Ratshag from Need More Rage

Cynwise from Cynwise’s Warcraft Manual

Gnomeageddon from Armaggedon’s Coming

I read quite a few WoW bloggers. I love many of them! They truly are awesome!  But, these four seem to top my “Fave” list.

Who do you enjoy reading?!

About a week or so ago I decided to try to get as many of the Midsummer Achievements on Khesed as I could.  I assumed that I wouldn’t get very far.

Oh, Ye Of Little Faith!

Granted, it wasn’t easy.  I found myself in this position quite a bit.

As it turns out, I couldn’t finish the whole thing.

You can see how close I got here.

Poor Khesed tried so hard, but he just couldn’t make level 84 in time to get the Ice the Frost Lord Achievement.

So, a year from now he should complete the Midsummer Achievement.

:)
