You know, I’m not that anxious about Mists.
I understand why people are upset about the Theremore Scenario. Yes, I was hoping for more as well. For me, I really enjoyed the pre-launch of Wrath. I also miss those early outfits that we could get. They just looked great! I’m saddened that I didn’t have the forethought to save them.
Anyway, I’m looking forward to Mists.
I’ll not have a huge amount of gold saved up. I won’t be one of the first with those cool gem mounts.
But, I’ll be playing. I’ll roll a Panda. I’ll get my full allotment of fun out of it.
I am somewhat worried about one thing.
I’ve noticed a bunch of lag in those cross server zones.
I have an old computer. I run things on the lowest settings. And, it will be around 4-5 months before I can get a new one.
We’ll have to wait and see. But, I’m still looking for it.

On a postive note, they couldn’t have really tested CRZs in beta because there were very few realms. Hard to truly load test a new feature without a load to test it with.
So they’re going to be picking their pants up from around the ankles a few times before they get CRZs working at optimum. There’s hope for your lag issues.

I was getting lag as well when I finally stepped paw into the 85 daily questing areas. Considering I have to have my dual-boxing pair’s video settings turned down pretty low, this shouldn’t have caught me off guard– but I died twice before I figured out it was the lag monster and not the mobs that was doing me in. ^_~;;
Hope it clears up for you once the Pandas arrive!

I suffer the same issues in the CRZ areas. I go from about 69 fps to 25 in cities and about 7 in a place like Elwynn Forest. However, I dropped my system settings down to Low and that actually made a world of difference. It’s stupid that I have to do that, but it did the trick.
I’ve never had a comp that could handle the full video settings. I’ve been on the lowest setting since Wrath, at least. I look forward to getting a system that can handle the higher settings. I know WoW has some beautiful scenery. I just wish I could view it.
I was finally able to log on. Things are still lagging, but I’m playing! Woohoo!!!
