But, I do find it strange…
Got online last night *coughtorunsomepetbattles*, and saw a bunch of my guildies on.
Great opportunity, no? I was asked if I wanted to run some dungeons…and I said “YES!”
Actually, no… I didn’t give an immediate and enthusiastic “YES!” I gave a small “yes” fully expecting to enjoy myself.
And I did.
Yes… I really did!
But, is it sad that every time someone said, “wanna do another?” I was inwardly yearning to seek out and trap that Rare Black Lamb?!
After going on three dungeon runs (seeing the Jade Temple and Brewery), I finally got to bed around midnight.
What does it say that I was a little sad that I wasn’t able to participate in my Rare Black Lamb Hunt?

Haha, I am totally not addicted to pet battles either. And I certainly haven’t made ~15 teams with all my favorite pets that I am slowly leveling in Orgrimmar by trying to get a rare of each one of the critters there. And I’m certainly not unhappy with the color of my current rare lizard that I’m trying to get another one. >_>
But the dungeons are fun, and I am trying to put a little effort into leveling. (And not just my pets, haha).
I’m telling ya, it’s a conspiracy!!!!!
Either the Rare won’t drop, or it’s the wrong color!

I have several poor pets because I can’t snag the rare version in that shade yet. But at this point, I’m about building up my inventory and getting the collection achievements. As I don’t need to worry about a dungeon or raiding schedule, I can improve the ranks at my leisure.
I’m with JD Kenada, in that I’ve stopped my intense search for rares (have a little over 50 with no duplicates) and have started collecting ones I don’t have just to build my numbers so I can get the vermling pet (sitting at 206/250). I’ll get back to my “rare” search once I achieve that.
I will freely admit that I am addicted to pet battles. So much so that I created a worgen toon just to be able to buy the Gilnean Raven once I got him out of the starter zone. Once I bought the raven I deleted my worgen…lol. I needed a character slot open to create a goblin so I can buy the Shore Crawler.
